Mental illness affects more than 40 million Americans.

Every year, an estimated 26.2 percent of Americans 18 and older suffer from a diagnosable mental disorder.

Mental illness may include depression, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia, bipolar disorders and adjustment issues. Mental illness is treatable and we provide services to assist the individual maintain independence in their own environment.

Our mental illness services are available in Sarasota, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Venice, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Osprey, Nokomis, Siesta Key, Longboat Key, Casey Key, Englewood and most of south west Florida.

Summary of Our Services

Our caregivers are trained to understand each illness, the symptoms of the illness and the individualized care plan for each client. Mental Health Care – Our goal is for each client to reach their full potential of living independently.

A Bridge For Independence is the only company in its surrounding area to provide experienced caregivers with Mental Health Services.

Supervision of Mental Health Services

Kimberly Stanford, QMHP – is a Qualified Mental Health Professional. Kimberly started, grew and ran a Class A, Medicare Certified Home Care Agency in Minnesota for over 6 years. She also had her own consulting company, in which she provided Psychiatric Nursing Supervision for the mentally and physically handicapped. Kimberly is the Case Manager over all of the company’s mental health clients.
